To the editor:
I have known Jim Kelcourse since he and my son, Michael, were in high school together. I have watched him go off to college and then continue on for his master’s degree and after that his law degree. I have seen him fall in love and marry his wife, Amanda, and then become the father of two beautiful sons, Michael and Thomas. While this alone does not qualify Jim to be our next state representative, it does show how dedicated a man he has become.
Jim has served on the Amesbury Planning Board and is presently serving in his third term on the Amesbury City Council, which proves he is very dedicated to our community.
Jim and I have had many discussions about politics. I have always been impressed by his conservative approach to spending and his ardent desire to keep small business alive and flourishing. With two young sons in school, I know that the quality education of our children is one of his major concerns.
Many of you have met Jim as he has traversed the communities of Amesbury, Salisbury and Newburyport during his nightly visits. This only shows how strong his desire is to be our next state representative.
In November I ask you to vote for Jim. I believe he will represent our district with the passion and dedication he epitomizes.
